Used 1989 Bentley Turbo R

For sale is a completely original and low km Bentley Turbo R. It had been sitting for some years neglected and under a tarp, but recently has been recommissioned, detailed and had a full service and thorough checking over. The previous owner had spent over $21,000 between 2010 and 2021 on various service and maintenance issues, and the car runs beautifully.

It is ready to literally sit in and drive away to enjoy.

For those who aren’t sure, the Bentley Turbo R is a high-performance luxury car that was produced by Bentley Motors Limited from 1985 to 1999. The “R” stood for “roadholding”, to set it apart from its predecessor. It initially inherited the turbocharged engine from the Mulsanne Turbo and also sported a retuned suspension and wider tyres on alloy wheels, a first for a Bentley. From the 1987 model year however, the Turbo R’s V8 engine was retuned with fuel injection for added torque.

It is one of those cars that any enthusiast will appreciate, you could easily use this as a daily driver, or add it to your collection for special occasions.

The positives:

• This is a lot of car for a very small price.
• It is incredible to drive, and being a Bentley, has all the luxury of a Rolls Royce, but so much more performance!

The negatives:

• The front seats do not adjust, could be a simple switch or wiring issue or could be the motor.
• The rear parcel shelf leather has lifted and is sun damaged.
• Has a small golf ball size ding in the bonnet.
• The front indicator lens is cracked.
• Small scrape on front left guard
