This Interceptor was supplied through Guy Salmon Ltd on the 21/11/1972 to the American singer Jack Jones. At the time Mr Jones was living in London and dating the British actress Susan George. He was performing at the London Palladium and performed at two Royal Variety Performances. The car was ordered in Fawn Metallic with Beige leather and a black vinyl roof. By the 25th May 1978 the car was registered in Victoria as AEH530. The car is an excellent restoration project. It is complete with all original features, including its numbers matching engine. Original GKN alloy wheels and original steering wheel. The body has rust but its quite savable. The body has mostly original paint and has not been got at before. It does not appear to have any hidden corrosion. its all on the outer panels. The floors, inner sills and chassis tubes are sound. The car comes with new lower rear three quarter repair panels. The dashboard and instruments are in very good condition. I believe most of the original leather can be saved and reused. The chrome and stainless brightwork will clean up nicely. The engine and transmission will need to be overhauled. The original alloy Jensen valve covers are present. As are the Holley carburettor, AC compressor, exhaust manifolds, alternator, power steering pump and starter motor. The car is currently stored in Taree at Hills & Co Restorations. They can carry out a full restoration for you if you want. Or we could build the car as a Resto-Mod.
